Kerfuffle: Kerffufle and Hullabaloo at met in kindy and were still great mates
Kerfuffle is an abstract painting with a wonderfully dramatic two-act composition. The upper half is all bold confidence, with sweeping black arcs and strong vertical brushstrokes punctuated by vivid coral-orange forms and electric blue splatter that drips freely down the canvas. The lower half shifts register entirely, moving into quieter beige and grey tones with softer sweeping curves, as if the commotion is settling into something more considered. The contrast between the two halves gives the painting real visual tension and rhythm.
The graphic quality and restrained neutral palette make this a versatile piece, bold enough to anchor a large wall, considered enough to work in a sophisticated interior.
