Tatty Bogle Boogey: the mischievous scarecrow, would come to life every night, attempting to out dance the moon, but ended up moonwalking backward into a cabbage patch.

Tatty Bogle Boogey is a large portrait-format abstract painting with the loose, jointed energy of something mid-movement. Fluid blue outlines define a series of intersecting organic and geometric forms — arches, curves, wedges and looping lines — filled with soft washes of pale blue, beige and white, punctuated by vivid accents of red, orange, magenta, olive green and yellow-gold. The composition has a light, summery quality despite its scale, with the pale ground giving the forms room to move and the eye plenty to follow.

The three detail shots reveal how much is happening across the surface, this is a painting that rewards time spent with it.
