Jitterbug Jazz was the hottest dance craze, with grasshoppers and beetles showing off their fancy footwork.

Jitterbug Jazz is a vibrant abstract diptych composed of two vertical canvas panels. Sweeping arcs of forest green and soft grey flow across a warm cream ground, layered with bold forms in yellow, orange, coral-red, sky blue, and pale lilac. The left panel pulses with tightly spiralling dark green curves and energetic brushwork, while the right panel opens into looser, more lyrical swells of colour - the two together creating a call-and-response rhythm across the composition.

Scattered olive green dots punctuate the white ground throughout, adding quiet rhythm to the expressive, flowing forms. Designed to hang together as shown, the two panels create a unified composition full of movement and joyful spontaneity.
