Breakneck Brenda: Called Breakneck Brenda fondly by her Dad, her Mum preferred "like a bat out of hell."

Breakneck Brenda is a large square abstract painting with tremendous centrifugal energy. A bold spiral of navy and turquoise sweeps around the canvas, drawing the eye inward toward a warm golden yellow centre enclosed by layered arcs of teal, white and sand. A small red accent sits at the heart of the composition like a spark, while gestural strokes of teal, beige and yellow radiate outward from the edges. Scattered dots of red and black punctuate the white ground throughout.
