VISION
"The knowledge and experience gained from growing up around the world provides me with the inspiration I draw on as a designer and artist to create visually stimulating work.
I also enjoy the challenge of working with different mediums that suit my design aesthetic and interest in architecture, furniture, textiles, design and art and it is for this reason that I established Kirkle Design (now Kirsty Black Studio) creating high-value products for a discerning market, concentrating on ‘rugs almost too good to walk on.' The rugs provide the opportunity of working with a canvas that is tactile, visual, hard-wearing – essentially a functional piece of art."
